About & Equine Care
Dr. Nathan is an equine veterinarian and practice owner based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He brings more than 30 years of veterinary experience to caring for horses and provides care through visits to farms and barns.
If you are planning a visit or have noticed a change in your horse, call the practice at (734) 994-7899 to talk through what you are seeing and arrange the next step.
Equine medical care
If you are concerned about your horse's health, describe what has changed, when you first noticed it, and any relevant medical history. That gives Dr. Nathan a starting point for discussing your horse's needs and whether to arrange a farm visit.
After-hours calls
For an equine emergency after hours, call (734) 994-7899. Have your farm or barn address and a callback number ready, along with a brief description of what is happening.
Veterinary students
Clinical elective
The off-site clinical elective gives veterinary students a look at how a solo equine practice works in the field. Students accompany Dr. Nathan on farm visits and may join after-hours emergency calls as cases arise.
The experience includes discussing cases and diagnostic workups, participating in procedures as opportunities arise, and seeing how a solo practitioner manages supplies and the business side of the practice.
